‘Radiant Death’ MMXIII –MMXV
‘RADIANT DEATH’ has a twofold meaning: 1. Death that is charismatic, shining, and worthy of veneration; and 2. total nuclear holocaust.
‘RADIANT DEATH’ emerges from the trials and tribulations of the carnal mundane world of the Demiurge as a hate-filled and vengeful proclamation in opposition to his degenerate Will. Following the triumph of Sanguinary Misanthropia’s 2012 album ‘Loathe over Will’, ‘RADIANT DEATH’ presents a bleak apocalyptic indictment against the human race, which is exhibited in the harsher war metal approach to recording and song writing. Dissatisfied with the ‘produced’ sound of the last three releases, SM went into self imposed exile and started a rawer recording regime to capture the chaotic essence of their Live Blood Rituals. They took to their rehearsal studio and started recording therein, an effective strategy that was utilized for the recording of their second album also. ‘RADIANT DEATH’ is a portal between the Orthodox Satanic Black Metal approach of SM’s earlier releases and the Warlike Black Metal Chaos inherent in their pending releases.
Kakorot (of DECREPIT SOUL and ALTARS OF SIN) was recruited to perform rhythm guitars on their cover version of Beherit’s ‘Unholy Pagan Fire’. The Radiant Death 12” MLP came into being in 2015 borne by the Mexican labels Bloodwar Productions and Devils Mouth, after the untimely collapse of Supremacy Through Intolerance in 2013. The 12" MLP ‘RADIANT DEATH’ features sinister artworks by Brian VDP, recording and mixing by Innominandum, and mastering by Konrad (NEKROS MANTEIA). Influences for this release were drawn from Axis of Advance, Beherit, Destroyer 666, Abominator, Bestial Warlust, Archgoat, Slaughter Lord and Oroborous.
